Two female workers of VIP Spa were arrested during a raid of the Dickson business on Thursday. They were charged with patronizing prostitution at the establishment.
Agents with the Dickson Police, FBI, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service and immigration services served a multi-county, state search warrant on VIP Spa. TBI served the warrant. The arrests were the culmination of a nearly yearlong investigation that started in June when Dickson Police started to receive complaints about the business, said Police Capt. Eddie Breeden.
Sun Cha Ritt, 51, and Sun Hiekala, 41, were taken to the Dickson County Jail where they each posted a $2,500 bond and were released.
VIP Spa, one of three businesses in a building located at Highway 46 and Pomona Road, is still open. The city is looking into how to close the business.
“We are in the process of getting with our city attorney to see how we can handle (closing the business) legally,” said Dickson Police Chief Rick Chandler. “Right now I don’t of any way to stop them without going through a legal process.
“Technically if they wanted to go back (and work), they could,” Chandler added.
Chander said the two females were the only employees in the business when it was raided. He said he’s not sure of the total number of employees.
Authorities in Humphries County also raided GQ Health Spa in Hurricane Mills. That spa is believed to be linked to VIP Spa. The two employees arrested at the GQ Health Spa were OK Ki Thomas, 58, and Son Jarkowsky, 61.
Chandler said employees moved between the two.
“I do know it was sort of like a shell game,” he said. “They would move people from place to place to place.”
According to Breeden, the affidavit states that on Thursday an undercover officer entered VIP Spa “where money was exchanged for sexual acts.”
“Over the course of the investigation, we developed enough evidence…the TBI really worked most of it and then the FBI was able to obtain a search warrant for both places,” Breeden said. “We had several complaints from citizens about that business and we started looking into it. The complaints have been going on for a while.”
“We had been working on it,” Breeden added. “People thought we weren’t doing anything about it. But it takes time to be able to prove something.”
The “Open” sign was not lighted at VIP Spa Friday afternoon. Phone calls by The Herald to the business were not answered.

For the second time in the past year a local business was busted for prostitution.
Local and state authorities arrested four employees at VIP Spa Wednesday for single counts of prostitution each.
Dickson Police Chief Rick Chandler noted this has been an ongoing issue with the business, and he will ask the city’s attorney to look into procedures for the possiblity of civil action against the property owners for creating or allowing a public nuisance on the property.
The Herald attempted to determine who owns VIP Spa, but that information is not available to the public at the local or state level.
Chai Hwacha Kwon, 56, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Jingshu Che, 39, of Chicago; Kim Doo K, 39, of Coppell, Texas; and Song Un Yong, 47, of Las Vegas, each were booked on one count of Class A misdemeanor prostitution. They remain in Dickson County Jail on $10,000 bond each.
Dickson police and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant Wednesday at 11 a.m. at VIP Spa at 1840 Highway 46 S. in Dickson.
A TBI agent explained the search warrant was issued based on probable cause resulting from an undercover operation that occurred Tuesday. In an affidavit, an undercover TBI agent states he was offered sex in exchange for cash during the operation.
On Wednesday, authorities found approximately $8,000 cash, including buy money used during the undercover operation; sexual aids, i.e. massage oils, condoms; and documents from EroticMP.com, where customers post reviews and discussed sexual activity from VIP Spa.
Since VIP Spa is located 1.3 miles from United Christian Academy, the prostitution charges were bumped from a Class C to Class A misdemeanors.
In April 2011, authorities with the Dickson police, FBI, TBI, Internal Revenue Service and immigration services served a multi-county, state search warrant on VIP Spa. Two female workers, not among those charged Wednesday, were arrested April 14, 2011, during a raid of the Dickson business. They were charged with patronizing prostitution at the establishment.
The 2011 arrests were the culmination of a nearly yearlong investigation that started in June 2010 when Dickson police started to receive complaints about the business. Authorities in Humphreys County also raided GQ Health Spa in Hurricane Mills. That spa was believed to be linked to VIP Spa.
